The Medium is the Message by Marshall McLuhan, in my opinion, is mainly directed towards a a family of three. Some themes I can use to describe this passage are adultery, family life, and philosophy. This passage includes many claims about adults, familities, and how society is evolving today as time is passing by.

The Garden of Forking Paths by Jorge-Luis Borges is a story told in first-person point of view about an event in World War I. I would have to say that this passage has to do with time. The narrator is constantly and consistently talking about every sequential moment of what happened during his escape from Captain Richard Madden.
